OAK PARK, Ill. – The John Toomey Gallery, in association with Treadway Gallery, will present a 20th Century Art & Design auction on Saturday, June 4, beginning at 10 a.m. Central. This 81-lot auction will begin with furniture and decorative arts primarily from the Arts & Crafts and Art Nouveau movements, including Gustav Stickley, Tiffany lighting, Teco and Rookwood pottery, Kalo silver, and architect-designed furniture and windows by Frank Lloyd Wright.

Estimates in this session range from the hundreds up to a Tiffany Daffodil table lamp estimated at $40,000-$50,000.
Fine Art features works from the collection of James Lichon, offering one of the first large-format Ed Paschke paintings (below) from the 1960s to come to the secondary market.
The collection also includes two Gertrude Abercrombie paintings that were part of the retrospectives on the artist at the Hyde Park Art Center in 1977 and the Illinois State Museum in 1991. Other notable artists in this session are Paul Jenkins, Werner Drewes, Gerard Schlosser and Oswaldo Vigas.
The sale will conclude with Modern Design, beginning with a John Dickinson “African” table, Pedro Friedberg “Hand and Foot” chair, and a set of eight George Nakashima “Mira” dining chairs. Other Modern Design offered for sale will include two Arne Jacobsen Egg chairs, a selection of Art Smith jewelry, and several examples of Pierre Jeanneret furniture.
