HONG KONG – L&H Auction Co. Ltd. will present the autumn auction of 400 precious lots on Saturday, Nov. 28 (Nov. 27 in the Western Hemisphere), at the Grand Hyatt Hong Kong.

Besides the L&H Rare Photographica Auction, which has been highly anticipated by the international photographica industry, and the tea ware auction, which carries the attention of collectors, there will also be an agarwood auction, jade auction and wine auction at this time. The auction is expected to take in HKD$60 million, $7.74 million.

Leading the wine list is lot 5016, a full case – 12 bottles – of 1982 Château Lafite Rothschild (above) in the original wooden box. It carries an estimate of HK$230,000–HK$350,000 ($29,677–$45,160).

An example of the fine tea ware offered in the auction is kit 1023, a cast-iron teapot (below) decorated with a Japanese royal garden pattern. Made by Jinshoutang Studio, it is estimated at HK$680,000–HK$1.2 million ($87,740–$154,835).

A limited-production Leica MP camera (below) in original black paint is a rare find in the photographic session. The Leicavit film advance enabled the user to shoot up to two frames per second. Only around 138 units were produced in 1956-1957. This well-used specimen with a Summicron M 2/5m black painted lens is estimated at HK$2 million–HK$3 million ($258,064–$387,089).

Among the nearly 30 lots of agarwood is lot 2026, a chunk of the resinous heartwood, which is highly valued in many cultures for its distinctive fragrance. This rare piece is estimated at HK$4.5 million–HK$6.8 million ($580,639-$877,411).
