NEW YORK – On Saturday, Jan. 21, Jasper52 will present a collection of prints that fuses fine art, illustration and history, and displays wonders of the natural world. Absentee and Internet live bidding will be available through LiveAuctioneers.

The 120-lot auction, however, will open with four works by Keith Haring, the American artist best known for his graffiti-inspired drawings. These original signed works will be sold without reserves with bidding starting at $1.

First up is Two Dancing Men with Heart (above), which is acrylic paint on heavy artist paper.

Next is Dancing Pregnant Women with Spotted Radiant Baby, done in marker on heavy artist paper.

The Haring pieces, all from 1988-89, conclude with Three Dancing Men (below), marker on heavy artist paper.

Subjects then turn to exquisite hand-colored prints of flowers and animals found within the pages of their scientific journals.

A beautiful example is The Arabian Camel by Josiah Wood Whymper from the Society for Promoting Christian Knowledge, London, 1843.

An added attraction is a lot consisting of four Pablo Picasso terra-cotta medallions (below) from the artist’s long association with the Madoura pottery.
