Showcased was exceptional examples from the extensive collection assembled by the majolica expert and author of Majolica: A Complete History and Illustrated Survey. This remarkable sale soared past its estimate with a total of more than $544,000. The top lot, an iconic Mintons majolica hare and duck head game-pie dish and cover, achieved $62,225.

LOS ANGELES — On March 29, jewelry collectors, dealers and enthusiasts participated in the Jewelry from the Estate of Lady Leslie Ridley-Tree auction presented by John Moran Auctioneers. Lady Leslie Ridley-Tree was one of Santa Barbara’s most well-known philanthropists and a pillar of the community. The auction achieved one-and-a-half times the median estimate and earned white-glove status. NEW HAMBURG, Canada – Once again the legendary Canadian folk artist Maud Lewis (1903-1970) stole the show at Miller & Miller’s two-day, two-session online auctions held March 25 and 26. Seven original paintings by Lewis combined for more than $300,000. The Canadiana & Decorative Arts auction on March 25 grossed $588,613; the Historic Lamps & Lighting on March 26 reached $299,838. All prices quoted are in Canadian dollars.
