DOWNINGTOWN, Pa. – Pook & Pook Inc. conducted a Native American arts auction on May 22 that recorded a 99 percent sell-through rate and came in solidly toward projected high estimates. Absentee and Internet live bidding on this online-only auction was available through LiveAuctioneers.
The Native American online auction included an assortment of antique and contemporary jewelry, baskets, rugs, clothing and other American Indian crafts. The dedicated auction was well received and had spirited live bidding, noted Pook & Pook.
Highlights included Lot 2003, two Zuni inlaid bolo ties (above), realizing $1,437; Lot 2079, an Eduardo Garcia fancy silver-inlayed blue steel bit and spurs set (below), which brought $1,025; and Lot 2132, and a collection of early 20th century Apache beaded leather items (top), which realized $2,812.
